A little monthly edit from Atelier Ninety Five.
A round-up of everything we’re loving, talking about, saving and sending to each other right now.
The hotel we’re dreaming of checking into.
The book on our bedside table.
The film we can’t stop thinking about.
The restaurant we’re desperate to book.
The podcast we’re currently obsessed with.
A little bit of fashion, travel, food, art and culture basically, all the things inspiring the world of Atelier Ninety Five each month.
One hotel. One book. One film. One restaurant. One exhibition. One podcast.
Things we love, that we think you might love too.
Welcome to The Edit.
One Hotel: Petunia, Ibiza
Okay, WOW. This place.
A very last-minute Ibiza getaway with my bestie led us to Petunia, and I think it might have ruined other Ibiza hotels for me.
The setting is everything. Perched on the south-west coast of the island with Es Vedrà right in front of you, it has one of those views you find yourself staring at constantly. Morning coffee, lunch, cocktails somehow everything feels better with that backdrop.
One of my favourite moments was sunrise yoga overlooking Es Vedrà. Starting the day there, with that view and the whole hotel still feeling beautifully peaceful, was pretty special.
And then, obviously, there was the food. If you know me, you know I ALWAYS judge a hotel by its breakfast, and my gosh, Petunia did not disappoint. Long, lazy breakfasts quickly became one of my favourite parts of the trip, followed by beautiful food throughout the day and very good cocktails.
But the real pinch-me moment? Sitting with a cocktail as the sun went down, looking out across Es Vedrà. One of those evenings you already know you'll talk about for years.
Beautiful food, dreamy views, sunrise yoga and sunset cocktails with your best friend. Ibiza, you win.
Atelier tip: make time for a cocktail overlooking Es Vedrà — preferably at golden hour. It's one for the memory bank.
One Book: Self Love & Spiritual Alchemy
You’ll soon realise I’m really not much of a fiction girly.
Give me a good self help book and I’m happy, and Self Love & Spiritual Alchemy is one I always come back to.
It was actually one of the first self help books I properly read and since then I’ve recommended it to so many of my friends. What I love most is that it doesn’t feel overly wordy or, for want of a better phrase, arty farty. It’s easy to read, straight to the point and actually gives you things you can take away and use.
It’s all about transforming your mindset, building your self worth and becoming more aware of the way you speak to and think about yourself. It mixes personal stories with practical coaching tools which makes everything feel really relatable.
If you’re new to self development books and don’t know where to start, I think this is such a good one. Even if you’ve read loads of them, there are still those little reminders that make you stop and think okay, I needed to hear that.
Easy, empowering and one I’ll continue recommending to all my friends.
Atelier tip: keep a highlighter nearby. This is definitely a fold the corner of the page kind of book.
One Series: Lioness
WOW WOW WOW. Insane!!!
If you haven’t watched Lioness yet, this is your sign. It’s an absolute must watch.
The series follows Joe, a CIA operative who leads the Lioness programme, a covert team that sends female operatives undercover on incredibly dangerous missions. It’s inspired by a real US military programme, so you get all the secret missions, CIA politics, action and twists, but you also see the personal side of the women involved and the reality of trying to balance relationships, family and normal life with such an intense job.
I’m such a girls’ girl, and one of the things I love most about this series is seeing women portrayed in such a completely different light. Strong, fearless, powerful, complicated and completely capable of holding their own. There’s something so good about watching a show where the women aren’t just there as part of somebody else’s story. They’re right at the centre of it, making the big decisions and proving that yes, we really can do it all.
And the cast is SO good. Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman and Morgan Freeman are just a few of the names in it.
It’s intense, addictive and one of those shows where you finish an episode and immediately need to put the next one on.
Powerful women, loads of drama and completely addictive. What more could you want?
Atelier tip: don’t start this one unless you have a free evening. You will not be watching just one episode.
One Restaurant: Mollie’s, Manchester
Okay, this one really surprised me.
I went to Mollie’s in Manchester for a friend’s birthday at the weekend and I was SO impressed.
Think lobster rolls, fried chicken, steak and really good cocktails. The food was great, but for me it was the whole vibe that made it. It felt fun, buzzy and just the right amount of dressed up without trying too hard.
But what really made the night was heading down to the bar afterwards. There was a live band playing R&B classics with a twist and honestly, the vibes were impeccable.
And can we also talk about the crowd? I went out and for once didn’t feel like the oldest person in the room...! It was such a good mix of people and exactly the kind of atmosphere I want from a night out now.
Dinner that turns into drinks, live music and you suddenly realise you’ve been there for hours. My kind of night. I’ll definitely be returning.
Atelier tip: don’t just go for dinner. Head downstairs afterwards, grab a cocktail and stay for the live music.
One Podcast: Nip, Tuck, Not Giving A...
A little shoutout to Ashley Stobart for this one. Ashley recently made her first purchase from Atelier Ninety Five and her feedback has honestly been amazing. So much so that she even gave us a little shoutout on the podcast.
Now if that isn’t a girls’ girl, then what is?! So obviously Nip, Tuck, Not Giving A... had to make this month’s Edit.
If you haven’t listened before, think completely unfiltered girl chat about relationships, motherhood, beauty, weddings, lifestyle and all the everyday chaos in between. It’s funny, honest and feels a bit like sitting in on a conversation with your friends.
It’s the kind of podcast you can stick on while you’re getting ready, driving or out for a walk and suddenly realise you’ve listened to three episodes.
And Ashley, if you’re reading this, thank you for supporting ANF. We appreciate it more than you know.
Unfiltered, funny and very easy listening. Basically, girl chat in your headphones.
Atelier tip: start with a recent episode and prepare to get sucked into the back catalogue..
